My Dream Vacation
Remember the post I made back in May about Compelling Content Ideas While On Vacation?
Briefly, I just wanted to come up with an excuse for apparently still “working” while enjoying a drink by the beach this summer.
You know how it is when you’re away somewhere and your mind drifts off to Never Neverland and you have the tendency, well, more like a penchant, for forgetting other things like deadlines.
Well, thank heavens for my amazing commentators, I have elicited some compelling content ideas from them!
From Marcus Baker:
Here are some possible vacation oriented ideas you could play around with –
*Mini vacation ideas for entrepreneurs who can’t take a real/long one
*Practical ways to take care of business when you’re away on vacation
*X Places I’d rather be writing a blog post from than here
Cheers
Marcus
From Janet Callaway:
Why not write about why you go on vacation, what it does for you, how it impacts your attitude towards your life and your work?
Also, how and why do you select the spot where you go on vacation.
How is enjoying the work you do like being on vacation?
Best wishes for a terrific week, Elmar. Aloha. Janet
From Raverture:
Talk everything about the place where you will spend your vacation. Discover new things while you are there at that area. Let the readers feel the bliss and exciting activities while staying there in that place.
From Calli:
I love the beach too and we share the same visions for a grand vacation. I’d surely be envious with your summer vacation post. But to answer your question, I’d like to hear how you relate online entrepreneurship from your vacation or from the business environment of the place where you’re going.
Just to respond to these compelling content ideas, I thought I’d just fill in some things about my dream vacation!
I prefer to go on a holiday with my wife and the kids so I eventually choose places where there’s room to play, to swim, and where they can amuse themselves.
A great vacation for me should have the following: sun, nature, a swimming pool, good food, friendly people, tranquillity (not too much noise), enough sleep (I do lack sleep sometimes!) and, of course, in the company of my wife and our children.
Summer ain’t over yet and now I’m dreaming about the Seychelles Islands next. Don’t you just love the perks that come with being your own boss?

Hi Elmar,
the Seychelles Island are on my list too
What you describe as your dream vacation could be easily found within reach in Europe, for example in the south of France.
I usually have the best ideas while on vacation because it takes me out of my daily routine and I am close to nature. That’s why embarce Raventure’s and Calli’s ideas.
Thanks for bringing up that topic
Take care
Oliver
I can’t help but work when on vacation. When you do something you love it is more like a hobby than a job. Isn’t vacations meant to be spent doing what you love?
Elmar, aloha. Reading this post made me smile because I then remembered your previous post where you asked for content ideas. Love the ideas your readers shared with you.
Elmar, you are so right that one of the best perks of being your own boss is that you can vacation on the beaches of the world, any time you want, for as long as you want and with whom you want.
What a wonderful example you are setting for your children. You and Oliver are giving your children a very different outlook on work than that which was taught to you.
Look forward, Elmar, to reading your postcard post of your vacation. Until later, aloha. Janet
Hi Elmar! Going on a vacation where you get to live out your dream is really the greatest thing about being your own boss. Amen to that!
Hi Elmar! Seychelles Islands sounds like a great vacation plan for the next summer! I say go for it!
Hi Elmar! Hooray to all the independent network marketers out there who are really having the time of their lives spending quality time with their families – grand vacations or otherwise.
Hi Janet,
Thanks Janet! I’m glad, together with Oliver, that I’ve shifted to a business consciousness that allows me to spend quality time with my wife and children. Although it’ll be years before I would really know what impact this would have on them as they grow old, I’m positive that I’ve inculcated some new values that weren’t passed down to us during our time – that of working so that we could live a good life with the ones we love
.
Take care,
Elmar
Hi Maria,
Vacation for me would be spending time with the people I love and taking a break from work
. We don’t want to split our time with our loved ones and work, do we?
But, it’s a person-to-person preference and if you can find the time to squeeze in some work while still on vacation, I know you’re going to find the right time not to let it hamper all the fun!
Take care,
Elmar
Hi Oliver,
Wow, we share the same dreams! And the same list! Yes, being close to nature as much as possible during vacations is really the ultimate gauge for a great time!
Thanks for stopping by!
Take care,
Elmar
“Don’t you just love the perks that come with being your own boss?”
Absolutely!
Best perks ever!
Your description of your dream vacation is convincing me that I need to take more
lol. Somewhere hot and full of ocean views!
Hi Elmar,
Your idea of a holiday sounds just perfect. I have to admit I’m all for sun, sea and relaxation.
When I was a lot younger I worked on board a few luxury passenger liners and I had the privilege of visiting the Seychelles Islands a few times. It is a beautiful vacation destination and well worth visiting.
Thanks for featuring my comment from a previous post Elmar!
I believe in taking regular holidays as they do wonders for re-charging our batteries.

Hi,
Network Marketing can absolutely give you control of your time, you don’t need to ask permission from anyone to take a day off
.
Take care,
Elmar
Hi Marcus,
Wow! That’s a delight to hear someone who’s been to Seychelles! I really can’t wait to visit this island! It’s that prospect of going there soon that really makes me want to work harder now hahaha…
Elmar
