Some people believe that MLM really does not work. To put it lightly, they’re completely WRONG. I am going to take the next few seconds to explain to you for which reasons network marketing will ALWAYS work so that the next time someone tries to convince you that it doesn’t work you explain to them how completely misinformed they truly are.

Here are the 3 major reasons why MLM will ALWAYS work:

Even in a strong economy people will ALWAYS need supplemental income:

The truth is most people live pay check to pay check. They aren’t able to buy the nice things that they want for themselves and their families. There is and will always be a constant DEMAND for more money. Network marketing is a simple, part time and low risk way for full time workers to fill this need. To put it simply, as long as people need money network marketing will ALWAYS be there to fill that need.

People will ALWAYS want freedom from jobs they don’t enjoy:

Despite what you may think, there are people out there that truly don’t enjoy their job. They go to work because they have to and not because they want to. Network marketing offers a promise of true financial freedom. The ability to leave the 9 to 5 working world. This freedom will ALWAYS be to tempting to pass up.

People will ALWAYS want more free time to do with as they please:

Did you know in a past poll conducted by Money magazine that 64% of American men and 68% of American women polled said that if they had a choice between more money and more time off they would choose the time? People covet their free time. Network marketing offers the promise of working from home and making your own hours. Again, the opportunity to create free time will ALWAYS draw people to network marketing.

Conclusion:

As long as people crave time, money and freedom network marketing will ALWAYS exist.

The next time that someone tries to tell you that network marketing doesn’t work you know that they couldn’t be more wrong.

All you have to is ask your accuser 1 of 3 questions:

Do you want more money? Do you want freedom from your job? Do you want more time?

I guarantee they will answer yes to one of these questions. When they do they will have proved exactly why network marketing will always work!

Blog networks can become an invaluable tool within your marketing arsenal, and provide you with a much greater promotional reach. If you’re wondering, a blog network is a collection of sites that you (or your company) own and manage. These sites are generally about slightly similar topics that overlap, but by no means have to be. This makes it easier to combine and leverage the traffic from all sites into a single purpose.

For example, you can create a blog network that contains multiple sites, each with different subjects such as golfing tips, golf holidays and travel, golf clothing and equipment, celebrity and pro-tournament golf, and so on. Each site is obviously centered around golf, but different enough to have their own readership, keywords, and require different searches to find. Now instead of only having one simple blog with one set of targeted keywords, you have multiple blogs, and are spread out amongst the search engines more, making it much easier for golf enthusiasts to find you.

This provides you with great benefits, including a much larger overall readership, your readership (and hopefully mailing list) is organized so you know who came for golf holidays, and who came for golf equipment. You can then easily present each segment with products and services that may benefit them, plus advertise your other golf sites and easily cross sell products to your entire readership.

Generally it’s a pain to setup a blog network. You have to:

get the domains and hosting in place,

install WordPress on each domain,

configure WordPress as needed, then of course,

manage and add content to each site.

This can be a time consuming task, but a newer software system on the market called xMarkPro relieves a great deal of the pain involved. xMarkPro allows you to easily create and manage a blog network, or even multiple blog networks. xMarkPro is an excellent WordPress Manager.

Using the domain manager, by completing a small form within seconds you can have a new domain created, with WordPress installed and configured with the desired themes, plugins, settings, pages, posts, and more. Plus it allows you to easily centralize management of all your domains, including one-click login to your WordPress dashboards, automated upgrades of WordPress and plugins, plus a great deal more.

Not only does xMarkPro handle domain and WordPress management beautifully, it also provides professional management of campaigns, link tracking, split testing, traffic & sales statistics, plus more. With all traffic being automatically tracked via Piwik (a world leader in open-source traffic analytics software), plus the ability to automatically download commission and sales data from all programs you promote, you will receive unparalleled statistics regarding your online operation.

With the high quality analytics available, you can view detailed information regarding your overall network, plus broken down by domain, page, country, campaign, link code, and others. You can view statistics such as raw & unique views, bounce rate, clicks, joins, sales, refunds, commission earned, and much more.

Now only that, xMarkPro provides both graphical and tabular statistics, which are packed with AJAX functionality allowing you to instantly view the exact statistics you want, without waiting for your browser to reload. Nothing beats is, as you can easy pinpoint the strong and weak areas within your operation.

In conclusion, setting up your own blog network has a substantial number of benefits.

Greatly increase your exposure and readership volume,

gain placement for more keywords within search engines,

have a great deal of extra advertising space,

cross sell your readership to your other sites, plus many more.

Setting up and managing your own blog network can be an arduous task, but the folks at xMarkPro has definitely made is much less of a hassle.

And here’s the surprise, dear readers! Matt Wagner has agreed to give a $50 coupon to all who signs up to xMarkPro through Empowered Online Entrepreneurs!

It’s time to say so long, adieu, adios, farewell, arrivederci, au revoir, hasta la vista, sayonara, and goodbye!

But before you think of anything permanent about my departure, think again. Of course not! Yes, I will be away for awhile but not that I’ll be gone forever…I’ll just be on…vacation!

Finally! A Vacation!

All this talk about My Dream Vacation has finally pushed me to the edge, so to speak, and I’m packing my bags, bringing my wife and children, and jetting off to a place where there’s going to be fun under the sun!

Imagine…two weeks! That’s 14 days or 336 hours or 20,160 minutes of bliss! And while I frolic under the sun, it unfortunately means you will not be hearing from me at all during this time. I’ll be totally locked out from the virtual world and immersed in a whole new world, discovering new things, and exploring new places with my loved ones!

So in the next two weeks, there will be no blogposts and no blog comments.

I’ll be sad to be disconnected from all of you for this long and I know I’ll probably miss a lot but I know that everybody agrees that we all deserve a break. Right? Right!

And we also know that I’ll be fired up when I get back to dish out something new and exciting to share with all of you.

So, until then, hope you all have a great two weeks ahead of you as I will definitely have.

Keep Safe, Everyone!

Do you think that there will ever be a time in your life when you have to say these words?

It was gruesome but necessary.

This expression is apparently famous in an online computer game, World of Warcraft, but has now become a popular horrific response attributed to the main suspect in the recent killings in Oslo, Norway. As we all know, around 90 innocent victims have been killed majority of which included a great number of youth campers in what appears to be a “necessary” act according to the main suspect.

You could read the story here.

I then wonder: Would the victims who survived this ordeal and the bereaved families of those who died ever accept the justification that their near-deaths and deaths, respectively, were necessary just to drive home a point and deliver a message to the government?

At this point in time, where the acts of terrorism happened so close to home, I cannot just remain apathetic about this. As a father, I was really appalled at how young people were subjected to this kind of “gruesome but necessary” violence early on in their lives.

And the root of all this is: Fanaticism.

Fanaticism, according to Wikipedia, is:

a belief or behavior involving uncritical zeal, particularly for an extreme religious or political cause or in some cases sports, or with an obsessive enthusiasm for a pastime or hobby. According to Winston Churchill, “A fanatic is one who can’t change his mind and won’t change the subject.”

In his book Crazy Talk, Stupid Talk, Neil Postman states that “the key to all fanatical beliefs is that they are self-confirming….(some beliefs are) fanatical not because they are ‘false’, but because they are expressed in such a way that they can never be shown to be false.”

The behavior of a fan with overwhelming enthusiasm for a given subject is differentiated from the behavior of a fanatic by the fanatic’s violation of prevailing social norms. Though the fan’s behavior may be judged as odd or eccentric, it does not violate such norms. A fanatic differs from a crank, in that a crank is defined as a person who holds a position or opinion which is so far from the norm as to appear ludicrous and/or probably wrong, such as a belief in a Flat Earth. In contrast, the subject of the fanatic’s obsession may be “normal”, such as an interest in religion or politics, except that the scale of the person’s involvement, devotion, or obsession with the activity or cause is abnormal or disproportionate.

How strongly do we really feel about things that we believe in?

How far could we really go in pursuit of something that we feel passionately about?

What extremes are we capable of doing in the name of an idea?

Can You Justify Saying That “Yes, It Was Gruesome But Necessary?”

One of the more fascinating tennis players to watch in the 1990s was American tennis sensation and heartthrob Andre Agassi. Who could forget that young, handsome, and energetic man sporting long locks and a tennis fashion sense that was anything but old-fashioned?

No wonder the brand Nike skyrocketed during his time. His image projected that of a tennis rebel (not wearing the traditional all-white tennis ensemble) and the youth just went gaga with it!

The admiration that he got from the public and the media was overwhelming earning him celebrity status especially with his endorsements but although he had his share of winnings, he craved to establish a stronghold in the world of tennis. He wanted to win some more.

I still remember that time when he had to find a new coach who also trained him to do a change of mindset or some mental toughness training. To make the long story short, slowly but surely, he eventually became unceasingly amazing as a tennis player, match after match after match. And the rest, as they say, is history.

What is fascinating to learn, however, after all these years, is how that one dinner conversation with his apparent prospective coach then, Brad Gilbert, dramatically gave Agassi a change of mindset and changed the way he played his tennis.

In a recent Newsweek article, The Science of Triumph, that supposedly dinner encounter with Gilbert went on like this:

Frustrated and rudderless, Agassi agreed to have dinner with a prospective new coach, a man whose tennis he didn’t much admire. Brad Gilbert was the anti-Agassi, a moderately talented junker who in his own career had eked out matches he had no right to win. His book about tactics, just published, was titled Winning Ugly. At dinner in Key Biscayne, Agassi wanted an honest assessment of his game. Why did he keep losing to less skilled players?

Gilbert excoriated him for trying to play with perfection. Instead of risking a killer shot on every point, why not keep the ball in play and give the other guy a chance to lose? “It’s all about your head, man,” Gilbert said, as Agassi recalls in his memoir, Open. “With your talent, if you’re fifty percent game-wise, but ninety-five percent head-wise, you’re going to win. But if you’re ninety-five percent game-wise and fifty percent head-wise, you’re going to lose, lose, lose.”

Further, in the same article, Timothy Gallwey, author of books about the mental side of tennis, golf, and other pursuits was quoted as saying: “One way of looking at it is that winners get in their own way less. They interfere with the raw expression of talent less. And to do that, first they win the war against fear, against doubt, against insecurity—which are no minor victories.”

In the field of business especially network marketing, what can you learn from Agassi’s change of mindset?

In making sure you’re on the winning side, does your choice of a coach or mentor really matter in how you play the game?

Have you conquered your war against your own fear, doubt, and insecurity?

Are You Now Ready For A
Change Of Mindset?

Briefly, I just wanted to come up with an excuse for apparently still “working” while enjoying a drink by the beach this summer.

You know how it is when you’re away somewhere and your mind drifts off to Never Neverland and you have the tendency, well, more like a penchant, for forgetting other things like deadlines.

Well, thank heavens for my amazing commentators, I have elicited some compelling content ideas from them!

From Marcus Baker:

Here are some possible vacation oriented ideas you could play around with –

*Mini vacation ideas for entrepreneurs who can’t take a real/long one
*Practical ways to take care of business when you’re away on vacation
*X Places I’d rather be writing a blog post from than here

Cheers
Marcus

From Janet Callaway:

Why not write about why you go on vacation, what it does for you, how it impacts your attitude towards your life and your work?

Also, how and why do you select the spot where you go on vacation.

How is enjoying the work you do like being on vacation?

Best wishes for a terrific week, Elmar. Aloha. Janet

From Raverture:

Talk everything about the place where you will spend your vacation. Discover new things while you are there at that area. Let the readers feel the bliss and exciting activities while staying there in that place.

From Calli:

I love the beach too and we share the same visions for a grand vacation. I’d surely be envious with your summer vacation post. But to answer your question, I’d like to hear how you relate online entrepreneurship from your vacation or from the business environment of the place where you’re going.

Just to respond to these compelling content ideas, I thought I’d just fill in some things about my dream vacation!

I prefer to go on a holiday with my wife and the kids so I eventually choose places where there’s room to play, to swim, and where they can amuse themselves.

A great vacation for me should have the following: sun, nature, a swimming pool, good food, friendly people, tranquillity (not too much noise), enough sleep (I do lack sleep sometimes!) and, of course, in the company of my wife and our children.

Summer ain’t over yet and now I’m dreaming about the Seychelles Islands next. Don’t you just love the perks that come with being your own boss?

Looks like Google+1 is earning a buzz and is really gaining a lot of following especially from business bloggers. As of latest count, Google+1 is about to hit 10 million users.

Admittedly, I’ve just skimmed the surface of Google+1 and I’m not sure if I’m really ready to delve into it what with all the social media fatigue that I’m on the brink of experiencing. (I mean, honestly, with the launch of Facebook’s Video Chat feature recently, we already have our hands full in one social media site alone!)

I mean technology advancement is so fast and I’m really wondering if I should keep pace and try everything that comes out everytime! Of course, there is the issue of social benefits that comes with every social media pursued. The question here is: Is it worth it?

If you’re like me and are experiencing some kind of fatigue running about social media circles, think this through: The only way, the best way and the most realistic way to avoid social media fatigue? You don’t have to be in all Social media sites.

We Can Choose Our Social Media
Platform Wisely.

Here is my suggested remedy to avoid social media fatigue:

Take the time to get on social media platforms that you think are relevant to you, your business, and well-worth your time. Carefully assess and sift through your target market and audience.

Ask these questions:

What are your demographics?

Where can you find them?

What social media sites do they frequent?

Do you think it’s best to connect with them on Facebook, Twitter, Google+1, Tumbl’r, MySpace, etc.?

Or, do you think it’s already beneficial to be on Facebook alone?

Narrowing down to your target niche can really guide you in taking stock of what’s your priority in terms of your online campaign. By doing this, you could organize your online campaign well.

Suffice it to say, you should really focus on social media sites that can really help you and your company strengthen its hold in your industry. If your being in one social media site is just a waste of time and simply frivolous, then, why bother? Remember it’s not just about connecting; it’s about meaningful and relevant connections.

If you just zero-in on one social media site or two, so long as you can handle it well, then, you don’t have to suffer social media fatigue.

This is part one of a two-part series.

Have you experienced social media fatigue?

Blame it on the heat.

Or, blame it on boredom and doing things practically the same way, everytime.

You could probably blame it on exhaustion or lack of energy and the drive to start something new.

Or, worse, blame it on the feeling of being so overwhelmed with too much going on all at the same time that you are already spreading yourself too thin!

Whatever you want to blame it on, a day (or two) will come that you will get tired of all of it – Facebook, Twitter, Google +1, and all other social media platforms! You practically just want to shut everything off and not socialize online and enjoy your quiet corner on the Web.

And, yes, they call it Social Media Fatigue.

When do we say enough is enough?

To Be Or Not To Be Virtually
Existent: That Is The Question.

Let’s face it: in the current scenario, when you are doing business online, it’s a must to be socially networking or doing the rounds in social media sites if you want to get around and start marketing yourself and your product or service.

The same real-world concept of “no man is an island” practically holds true in the WorldWideWeb and the rules of engagement are much complicated because you have to toggle through different platforms and its intricacies and protocols and what-have-yous until you use it well to build your connections or network.

I have oft-repeated in the past that if you really want to succeed in your online marketing business, you have to build relationships and connect with people.

Marketing Is Really A
People-Business.

But…

There are just a lot of social media sites out there and if you think of the various platforms with which you can be a part of and engage yourself into, believe me, the task could just be so overwhelming you’ll get crazy at times!

Take the example of Facebook and Google.

Let’s say I’m already active on Facebook and have since socialized with a group of people that already includes prospects, is there really a need for me to sign up for Google+1 so I can reach a totally new market or audience?

Is the thought or idea of starting a new group that appealing enough, business-wise? That would mean I would have to start from scratch unless all the people I will be connecting with on Google+1 would practically be the same set of people that I have already connected with on Facebook.

Which brings me to another question: so, what’s the point?

Check back for the conclusion of this two-part series on social media fatigue in the next post.

I did some online research about the history of social media and I was really surprised to know that it dates back to some 40 years ago!

Can You Recall From What Year
You Started Dabbling With
Social Networking?

(You’re not compelled to reveal your age at your detriment but should you desire so, just consider it as a sign of being technologically-advanced! Nothing wrong with being a prime mover! It always pays to be first, right? )

I remembered starting with IRC or the Internet Relay Chat in the early 1990s. You have to log in to different “channels” with your “nick” (short for nickname, I believe) and hashtags (#) were already the rage then! (Twitter is really not an original!) I can still remember typing #JOIN if you want to enter a particular channel; #WHOIS if you want to know more about the person you are chatting with; and, #ASL if you’re asking for age, sex, and location details.

Personally, I don’t think people were very honest then about sharing details and information in IRC unless you join a channel where everybody already knows everyone but it was really a good avenue for group communication in real time. The anonymity that clothed all its users was actually one of its selling points. You can be whoever you want to be.

The next thing down the line in the history of social media is GeoCities. For the love of me, I just cannot recall if I made my own site using GeoCities but I remembered being part of this community as well.

Needless to say, at the turn of the new millennium, the .com phenomenon turned the world upside down and to date, we have been invaded with a lot of social media ranging from Friendster to MySpace to Facebook to YouTube to Twitter and of course to the Google phenomena that recently culminated with its Google +1.

The course of Internet history has drastically changed then. It would seem, now, that if you don’t have a presence in the online world, then, you are virtually non-existent, pun intended.

Just to refresh your memory, here’s a timeline of the history of social media that I found and although I couldn’t really relate to some of the media mentioned, it gives us a pretty good picture of social media’s journey.
