Make Way for May’s Top 5 Commentators!
June is here!
As the month of May wanes, the month of June beckons and the promise of new things await all of us! (Of course, it’s also high-time to unveil Empowered Online Entrepreneur’s Top 5 Commentators for May!)
This June, I thought I’d get a little personal with all of you and dish out five things you probably don’t know about me yet. (Yes, I’m still at it with my penchant for the number 5!)
My Favorite Song
There are a lot of songs that I like. One that really stands out from my collection of most-loved songs is “Sultans of Swing” from Dire Straits.
My Favorite Book
I like to read, but now, I mostly read inspirational books and not a lot of novels. One of the best inspirational books I’ve read is “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill.
My Most Memorable Travel Experience
In July 2009, I was in Austin, Texas where I met Mike Dillard (way before he started The Elevation Group), Tim Erway, Justin Christianson, and Craig Allen. On that meeting, I also had the luck to meet other top internet marketers and Mike’s team members, like David Schwind, Aaron & Sophia Rashkin, Eduard Martinez, Nathalie Stahl, and others. It was an honour for me, as a little guy, to meet people of this calibre! I felt very humble!
My Favorite Motto
“People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care!”
This is a quote that we always use in MLM, because MLM is a people business. It’s a business of the heart. That’s also the reason why people who know less often have bigger and better results in their MLM business than people who know a lot more but don’t care about the people they’re dealing with.
My Favorite 5 People in May
I know that you already know who they are (or who you are! ) because of the giveaway icons placed beside their names located under the Top Commentators box, lower right of my website, but, nothing beats getting a special mention in a separate blogpost.
So, without much ado – let me express my utmost gratitude to the following special people who’ve made online interaction such a pleasant, engaging, and learning experience to be doing!

Elmar, aloha. Love the way you started out this post by sharing a few personal tidbits. All that goes to helping us relate to you and what you say even better.
Thx so much for the honor of being included in this list. As I am sure you know, Elmar, I found your site because I kept seeing your name/comments on the blogs of my friends who are mentioned above. Like minds and all that.
Best wishes for a fantastic month, Elmar. Look forward to seeing you around the blogosphere. Aloha. Janet
Congratulations to the Top 5 commentators! What a great way to present your top 5 list and we even had the bonus of getting to know more about you! Amazing job, Elmar!
Hi Elmar,
Thank you so much for the kind mention as one of your top supporters. I really like the interesting way you set this post out by the way.
It’s always a pleasure to visit your blog Elmar as you often cover things I either don’t know about or you cover them in a different way. That sounds like the formula for success not so? Well done.
Looking forward to another good month of learning here.
~Marcus
Woo hoo!! Thanks so much Elmar… I’m tickled I was able to make the list… even though I didn’t know there was one… nor did I comment with such an awesome reward in mind! Thanks so much for the mention!
I’ve obviously visited a few of my fave peeps in May… maybe my song should be ‘get around, get around I get around… wooo hooo, (Beach boys!) ha ha.
Sultans of Swing eh?? good grief… I have so many memories of that song in my teens…as I read it, I immediately started singing “You get a shiver in the dark it’s raining in the park but meantime” la la la … lol isn’t it funny how things stick in your mind… like lyrics?
I love Think and Grow Rich too… but I am just getting into the Noah St. John Book “Secrets of Success: from Marcus. I don’t seem to have a lot of time lately to read… but I’ve been bursting to get to the book Marcus suggested…. I will let you know… so far awesome, but you may have read it.
WOW you met Mike Dillard? What’s he like? I have always admired his determination but often wondered if he was aloof or down to earth?
Also, I can’t help but wonder who our mystery #6 person “Maria’ is? ha ha…
I am honored to be mentioned amongst some of my very favorite blogging friends. So awesome. Thanks so much!
Jayne
I think it is a great idea to promote your readers like you do and I bet you can see the effect on the number of comments you get. Now, I’ll see to it that June gets a top5 Maria commentator as well
Take care,
Maria
Hi Elmar,
it’s a beautiful idea to connect the appreciation towards your top commentators with sharing some personal favourites. Great job.
It’s an honour and privilege to be featured here in conjunction with these great people ! Thank you.
High 5 to you !
Be blessed
Oliver
Thank you, Maria!
I look forward to seeing you on the top commentator list by June!
You have a great weekend!
Take care,
Elmar
You’re very much welcome, Marcus, and thank you for being here. Your constant presence and valuable comments have really enlivened the comments portion of my blogposts. You definitely earned the top post well!
Glad you appreciate what I’ve done.
That’s one great compliment! And, the feeling is mutual. I’m also learning a lot from you.
Take care,
Elmar
Thank you and I’m glad you like it
Take care,
Elmar
Elmar, aloha. Wanted to share an idea for a similar type post with you. Since I don’t know how active you are on twitter, don’t know whether or not it is appropriate.
Today I was one of the featured people in a Follow Friday post. Rather than just list the 5 of us with an #FF on twitter, he wrote a post with a few sentences about each of us, linked back to us and then, of course, tweeted it. Isn’t that a nice idea?
Best wishes for a terrific weekend. Aloha. Janet
Hi Janet,
Thanks for sharing this great tip! Well, I’m not really active on Twitter save for the tweets linking to my latest posts but I appreciate the great suggestion. Hope you had a great weekend, too!
Take care,
Elmar
Blog posts like this one can becoeme a good stimul for commenters to comment more on your blog. Of course, everyone wants to be listed among top commenters. Very effective techniue that works perfectly.
Hi Jayne!
Hahaha I told you I have something in store for you. Glad you appreciated my surprise!
About your favourite song… ‘get around, get around I get around.” is a great song indeed (I have good memories to that song myself too), but
Sultans of Swing is still my favourite…
I should check out that book that was likewise referred by Marcus. I bet it’s going to be an inspiring resource.
Indeed, I have met Mike Dillard. You asked what he is like…
He’s really a down to earth guy. He’s calm and friendly and sometimes even a little shy, but he is extremely determined and he knows what he is talking
about.
I really admire him because he stays very humble, even with the incredible success he has in business. He’s really a great person!
It was really my pleasure to have named you in the top 5 list! Hope to see you again in the roster at the end of the month.
Talk soon,
Elmar
Thanks Oliver! Appreciate the compliment and you are very much welcome!
Take care,
Elmar
Hi Terje,
It really is a great way to thank and reward your readers. It’s a win-win situation so all parties involved get some sort of mileage one way or another. Although it boosts traffic on both sides, the one who gives the award and the awardee, the best part about this is the enhanced relationship between them.
I hope that I will be seeing more of you on this site, Terje, and see your name on the list soon!
Talk soon,
Elmar
It’s always a pleasure to visit your blog Elmar as you often cover things I either don’t know about or you cover them in a different way. That sounds like the formula for success not so? Well done.
Hi
I appreciate the comment. Would love to hear more of your comments in my next posts.
Take care,
Elmar
Yes, it can be considered as a competition or tournament for online entrepreneurs promoting their online resources via blog commenting technique. In this case, winners get additional traffic to a website and therefore additional advertising opportunities for online business. That’s why I like blog commenting technique very much
Hi Terje,
I agree, not only can you interact and build a network with other like-minded people, you gain quality backlinks for SEO purposes as well
.
Take care,
Elmar
